Mr J Fleming
I currently hold a 2:1 degree (BA Hons) in Primary Education with a Qualified Teaching Status. Since graduating from University of Cumbria in 2019, I have taught at South Walney in most year groups – currently year 4. In addition, I am the present Design and Technology lead. As a teacher, my goal is for children to achieve their dreams whilst developing perseverance and a hard-work ethic. My classroom allows children to feel valued, cared for and teaches them how to be valuable members of society. Attainment aside, every child can progress massively to reach their full potential; this is something I always strive for. Furthermore, I ensure children are reading, working mathematically, and performing practical tasks each day, whether it be in school or at home. Outside of school, I am an avid gym-goer, cyclist and runner – my hopes are to inspire and prompt children to be more active, for this achieves strong mental and physical health. Expect plenty of fun, practical and supported learning in my classroom, and I hope to welcome you to the amazing school that is South Walney.
